Who knows what to make of these

I've been real busy the last couple days with some work and renovating that I'm a day or two late on dropping tracks from two of my favorite artists of all time, or am I?  So the first is supposedly the next Justice single, reported by Ed Banger records which is a credible source given that it is their label and all.  A couple blogs have said that it is a fake and that the email from the promo email from Ed Banger was masked and that it isn't a real track and that Justice has nothing planned for 2010.  It just seems like the tracks is light and is missing the real ending and they are just teasing us.  Maybe an intro to the rest of the album or something.  If you listen to it you will understand, it builds and just end before the it should. Maybe just a fake.

The next is a leak that no one can confirm or deny if it is legitimate or not.  New Daft Punk?  Why would Daft Punk not deny that this is a fake if indeed it is?  Daft Punk has had a lot of fake tracks floating around so who knows if this is real or not.  Such a tease.  I personally don't think it is them but then again the opposite of what I generally think tends to be true so who knows

Poptimistic Bingo Players

Several years ago I had lost touch with the dance music,  I fell into a deep dark hole called hip hop and wasn't listening to anything else.  One afternoon I was just listening to some random  Minisitry of Sound compilation and Martin Solveig's Rockin Music came on and I was loving it. more than anything else I had listened too in a very long time.  I  proceeded to listen to more Solveig albums, mixes, ep's followed by more Ministry compilations and expanding my musical horizons from there.  Martin Solveig is French, need I say more?

Here is a Bingo Players remix of one of Solveig's more recent singles, Poptimistic.

Diplo Mania

Over the last couple months I keep seeing a name pop up all over remixes from just about every genre. He goes by the name of "Diplo" or sometimes "Diplodocus".  His friends probably call him Tom.  As time has passed I really just ignored him because I've seen him remix tracks by artists I just don't care for such as Gucci Mane.  But the other day I was reading a twitter page for a couple of my favorite up and coming Auzzie DJ's and they are all over Diplo like he is their King and their soul purpose on this earth was top serve him.  So I decided to give Diplo a chance, I'm not ready to serve him yet but I do respect his work.  When I did a Diplo search on my own computer I found about 30 tracks, most of which were pretty decent.  Check him out, here are a couple of my favorite remixes.

Fußball Is For The Devil

Happy weekend everyone!!  I plan on watching a lot of football this afternoon and it is going to be glorious.  I'm real excited to watch the Ravens upset the Colts, I dreamed the entire game last night and while I was sleeping and the ravens just put the hurt on the colts, it was embarasing.   I would nopt normally watch this game again today on TV since I've already watched it but I'm curious if the outcome will be the same. I wish I had more football dreams and less dreams about work.  I work enough during the day, why am I still working while I am sleeping?

Now for some more important matters, two older tracks that I think our post worthy.  The Mr Oizo track is a couple years old but new to this blogger and will probably be new to you.  The Cassian track would have been fit better if I had blogged about it yesterday since it is called Friday night, but I won't discriminate against any day of the week.

EGUOB

Here is a little mix I've put together this afternoon.  I've added a couple great new track I haven't blogged about you that I think you will all enjoy.  I also had to add a Kings of Leon remix, since I just found out yesterday that my cousin Jessica's husband Angelo is nominated for am Grammy(Album of the year).   He co-produced the last Kings of Leon album,  how awesome is that?  Congratz Angelo, so much respect and love for your work.  On a side note check out my cousins band http://www.myspace.com/thejaneshermans .  Jessica is the lead, Angelo is rocking out on guitar.

Back to business, I can't decided what my favorite track on this mix is, maybe either electric shock or one of the computer club tracks.  I'm having trouble sticking to one genre, hopefully you will like the diversity.  I've covered a lot of genres here with some disco, house, electro, dance, rock, and nearly added a hip hop track in there but decided it would be too much.  Hope you like listening to it as much as I liked putting it together.

Here is the tracklisting:

Baby (Breakbot Remix) - PNAU
Hot (Extended Version) - Kamei
Pocket Piano (Joakim Remix) - DJ Mehdi
Malfunction (Original Mix) - Louis La Roche
Elevatin (Computer Club remix) - Wired All Wrong
Funky Music - Kamei
Fix My Sink - Dj Sneak
Rock One - Utah Saints Remix - Myagi, Utah Saints, The Root Sellers
Electric Shock - We Love Machines
Breakchops (GRUM Remix) - Moulinex
Sex On Fire (Richard Sharkey & Peter Sar Remix) - Kings Of Leon
Cheap and Cheerful (SebastiAn Remix) - The Kills
Bizarre Love Triangle - Computer Club

Tie Tuesday's

So today is the third week of Tie Tuesday's since its conception.  I was supposed to wear a tie today but I did not, maybe next Tuesday.  I do enjoy promoting Tie Tuesday's,  I jjust lack the effort in actually coming through with the wearing of the tie. On a more musical note here are two tracks that caught my attention this week.  The is a nouveau disco sound from Music Go Music.  I'm not sure if this picture is a band picture or just how they spend the weekend, but It looks lovely.

If you haven't heard of RJD2 get on it.  He has been around forever but I've only recently discovered him.  The track I've posted is a hip hop remix he has put together, I can't stop listening to it and trying to find ways to mix it into my disco electro sets.  I've dying to go to a live show, I've read so many positive things about it and the crazy dancing.  As I am a crazy dancer this would be a good place to practice my craft.

Samedi Soir Pizza!

Last month I was all over this Friendly Fires remix of On Board by Joakim.  I"m really into this Mehdi Pocket Piano remix he's done, it's pure classic.   I am also really digging Breakbot remix of a PNAU track called Baby.  Not so much a dance tune, but easy listening that is very catchy.  Reminds me of the days when I really loved D.A.N.C.E by Justice.  Justice really needs to put out another album soon, I don't know how much longer I can continue to listen to DVNO and Genesis to get my Justice fix.  On a side note my drunk sister nearly died tonight walking into a moving car.  All she wanted to do was listen to some ABBA that I was listening too in the jeep while dropping her and a friend off at a bar.  I never realized how much of an ABBA fan she really was, willing to walk into a moving car just to get her fix.  Go Sash, glad you are still alive and with us. Watch out for those bright red moving cars.

Vendredi est ici les amis, Bouge avec moi

So now that the holidays are officially over, new tracks are starting to trickle down again. The first is a Louis Laroche original called Malfunction.  I dug it right away, classic disco house track to add to my playlist for this month :)  Don't let his French name fool you, he is really from the UK and had a huge year in 2009, excited to see what else comes from him in 20X.

Louis La Roche - Super Soaker - 01 - Malfunction by louislaroche

The next track is from an Ed Banger Christmas album that came out over the holidays.  I love Busy P, the DJ Mehdi remix of his Protect & Entertain track was outstanding and makes me think that everything he puts out will be as good.  Sadly that isn't possible, but this next track is pretty good.  This is a Crookers original, I can't tell if the sirens are in the track on purpose or f Hip Hop Changed - Busy P ft Crookers

Kamei, C'est Cool Come Ca

A couple months ago I blogged about a 17 year old Australian kid who is a Producer/DJ named Swick who had a couple killer tracks.  There is a  new kid on the block is from Brazil, and he is only 15 years old.  His myspace page says he is French House Producer.  How does a 15 year old from Brazil even knows what french house music is?  Remember when you were 15, what were you doing?  Would he be playing afternoon gigs to make his betime?  What is going on in Brazil?  I wish I had been producing house music at 15 years of age and not playing video games or ball hockey.  Here are a couple Kamei tracks, kids got some serious disco house for you.

Happy Birthday Lover.

I forgot to write you a card, but if I hadn't it probably would have resembled something like this:

The House and the Music note may have been a picture of you instead.  This will have to do for now.
