Funk Is Me

So today ended up being a pretty epic day.  I picked up my first  pair of real studio monitors yesterday.  They aren't anything high end as I was on a fairly limited budget so I've started out with a pair of 8" KRK Rokit's.  Followed that up this morning with a stroll with a bud and he bought a sweet imported motorcycle from Japan.  We then decided it was home renovation time, and built a soundproof studio in my basement.  Right now it is only semi sound proof, but I can listen to some serious bass and not bother my room mates which was the goal I really set out to with this operation.  A bunch of sound proof insulation in the ceiling and walls, covered with this cool tinfoil wrap in the cold sellar, posters, snowboards,  small couch, two cdj900's, djm800 mixer, ddj-t1 midi controller, axiompro25 keyboard, apc40, macbook pro, old imac and a huge pine dinning room table I refinished back in the day makes for the perfect studio.   I'm pretty sure I found my new favorite room in my house.  The bass in here combined with some very crispy snares.  I like my snares crispy.

So goof ing around tonight I was just mixing with the cdj's and came across a wicked track I really should have posted when the ep came out a couple months ago but I overlooked it I suppose.  Check out the dr.ho sample of Jellyjazz, super good use of sample.  The other three tracks are off the third installment of  it's acclaimed Pleasure & Pressure series.  Hope you enjoy!
